What are YOU made of? What is a TREE made of? What are the rocks and the stars and the SEA made of?

ATOMS! ATOMS! Tiny tiny atoms! ATOMS! ATOMS! Everything's got atoms! ATOMS! ATOMS! Itty bitty atoms! Every single thing is made of ATOMS!

How small is an atom? How teeny? How wee? A trillion could fit on the tip of a flea! You can't see 'em, you can't hear 'em, can't hold one in your hand, But atoms make up EVERYTHING across the land!

ATOMS! ATOMS! Tiny tiny atoms! ATOMS! ATOMS! Everything's got atoms! ATOMS! ATOMS! Itty bitty atoms! Every single thing is made of ATOMS!

Now INSIDE an atom, let's peek inside! There are THREE little parts, and they love to ride:

PROTONS in the middle, they're PLUS, plus, plus! NEUTRONS in the middle, no charge, no fuss! ELECTRONS zip around them, MINUS, here I go! Zipping! Zooming! Spinning! Round and round they flow!

Proton! Neutron! Electron! Proton! Neutron! Electron! Proton in the middle, neutron by its side, Electron zipping round them on a zippy zippy ride!

But WHERE do atoms come from? Where'd they start? They came from STARS that blew apart! Big old stars went BOOM in space, And scattered atoms every place!

The atoms in your nose? From a STAR! The atoms in your toes? From a STAR! The atoms in the dirt and the sea and the air, Stars made them and FLUNG them everywhere!

ATOMS! ATOMS! Tiny tiny atoms! ATOMS! ATOMS! Everything's got atoms! Star-made, flung-out, itty bitty atoms! Every single thing is made of ATOMS!

And here's the BEST part, atoms LOVE to find a friend! They grab each other's hands and they make a BOND! Two atoms hold on tight, that's a BOND BOND BOND! Bonding! Sticking! Holding! They're so fond!

Atoms bond to make the water that you drink! Atoms bond to make the air, now stop and think! Atoms bond to make your BONES, your HAIR, your SKIN! Bonding is how everything begins!
