The First Crossing
Forces act on matter constantly, but Forcix and Matterix have never realized they need each other until this moment. Concretely: gravity is what makes a solid heavy, what makes a liquid pour downhill, what makes air eventually settle. The first crossing in the Grand Assembly saga.
[GRAVITA] I pull on everything, I always have, I always will, falling stones and falling drops, they all obey me still.
[SOLIDIC] Someone's pulling on me. I feel it now, right here, I hold my shape, but something tugs my feet down to the floor.
[GRAVITA] Wait, you feel me? [SOLIDIC] I feel someone. Is that you? [GRAVITA] I never knew what I was pulling on had a name, had a "who."
For the first time, two worlds touching, edge to edge, Gravita finds a partner standing right past her own ledge.
[LIQUO] I'm Liquo, and I pour downhill, around each gentle bend, [GRAVITA] That's me too. I pull you toward the drain, around the bend.
[AIERY] Even I feel it, floating high, so light I barely show, [GRAVITA] I pull the least on you, and now you finally know.
[ALL FOUR] We were always connected, force and matter, hand in hand, one story we never signed, until today we understand.
