Meet Ti

Ti is the seventh and final solfège note, one step above La and the last stair before a brand-new Do at the top of the octave. Ti carries the strongest pull of any note back toward Do, and stacking all seven notes in order (Do-Re-Mi-Fa-Sol-La-Ti) builds the whole climbing scale one stair at a time. Companion to Meet the Musix on the Musix ladder (Musics category).

Say Do, one small hum by itself, quiet and alone, add Re, one step above, now Do and Re have grown, add Mi, the sunny third, and three bright voices swell, add Fa, the reaching bridge, four stairs beginning to tell,

add Sol, the steady anchor, five stairs standing tall, add La, the swinging sixth, now six stairs answer the call, and here I come, the seventh, tiptoe, reaching, thin, I'm Tee, the last stair standing before the climb folds in,

six voices hum beneath me, waiting, holding their breath, one more step and something happens, nothing sits at rest, I lean so hard toward Do again, a pull you cannot miss, the whole stack wants resolving, wants that homecoming kiss,

Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La, Tee, stacked up stair by stair, seven voices climbing, and I'm the thinnest one up there, thin as I am, I'm the one that makes the ending sing, Tee always wants a new Do, always wants that ring,

six stairs came before me, and I carry all their weight, one last step, and a brand new Do walks through the gate.

Key Concepts: Ti is the seventh solfège note, one step above La and the last step before a new Do | Ti has the strongest pull of any note back toward Do (leading-tone pull) | Stacking all seven notes in order (Do-Re-Mi-Fa-Sol-La-Ti) builds the whole scale cumulatively, stair by stair

Characters: Ti (the leading stair), a companion to Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, and La from Meet the Musix

Key Words: leading tone, octave, resolve, scale, pitch

Note on pronunciation: Sung phonetically as "Tee" throughout the lyric body so Suno pronounces it correctly instead of as "tie" — the same convention already established in Meet the Musix.
