Meet Fami

Fami is the family or household: a few Indis who bond and stay together, a whole home built from layered voices, and in turn one part of a community. Companion to Meet the Sociologix, second rung on the Holonics scale spine.

I'm Fami, a few Indis who found each other and stayed, One voice starts the tune, then another voice joins the same line, Mama hums it first, then Papa echoes right behind, Round and round the kitchen, one song wrapped in gentle twine.

Sister catches the tune two steps behind her brother's voice, Baby babbles the tail end, joining in without a choice, Every voice sings the same words, landing at a different time, A family is one song, sung in a stack, sung in a round, sung in rhyme.

We tuck each other in tight when the porch light goes dim, We goof around at breakfast, spilling milk on a whim, One home, four voices, singing the very same line, Layered soft on top of each other, out of time and fine.

I'm Fami, a home made of Indis who chose to remain, A round nobody finishes, a song that circles again, Add one more voice, the tune gets fuller, never the same, How a family sings, catching each other's refrain.
