Visible Light, One Band Repeating

Advanced companion to I'm Visible, sung directly about the real physics for an older cohort: visible light is the one narrow band of the electromagnetic spectrum human eyes detect, wavelength within that band determines color from red near 700 nanometers to violet near 400 nanometers, and an object's color comes from which wavelengths it reflects and which it absorbs.

Visible light is the one thin band your eyes were built to catch, sitting between infrared and ultraviolet. Same one band, stretched or squeezed, wavelength decides the color every time. Seven hundred nanometers stretched long reads as red, four hundred nanometers squeezed short reads as violet. Same one band, stretched or squeezed, wavelength decides the color every time. An apple looks red because it reflects the red wavelength and absorbs every other one that hits it. Same one band, stretched or squeezed, wavelength decides the color every time. One band, one set of eyes built to read it, the entire rainbow living inside a single sliver of light.

Key Concepts: Visible light is the one narrow band of the electromagnetic spectrum human eyes can detect, sitting between infrared and ultraviolet | Within that band, wavelength determines color, from roughly 700 nanometers (red) down to roughly 400 nanometers (violet) | White light contains every visible wavelength mixed together; a prism or raindrop bends each wavelength by a different angle, sorting the mix into a rainbow | An object's color comes from which wavelengths it reflects and which it absorbs — black absorbs nearly all of them, white reflects nearly all of them

Characters: None — sung directly about real visible light for an older cohort, an advanced companion to Visible

Key Words: visible light, wavelength, nanometer, reflect, absorb, spectrum

Companion note: Advanced 10-14 companion to I'm Visible, same core content (the whole rainbow is one band, not seven separate colors) but sung directly about the real physics with testable vocabulary — nanometers, reflection, absorption — instead of the Visible persona, in a round/canon cadence built around a repeating wavelength-decides-color refrain.
