Demure Bunny!
Demure means quiet and modest: like a soft little bunny who peeks out, twitches her nose, and never makes a fuss!
Soft little bunny in the clover, Peeking through a leaf. She lowers her long eyelashes, And nibbles, sweet and brief.
She doesn't shout, she stays so calm, She tidies up her paws. A gentle hop, a quiet bow, No fuss and no applause.
DEMURE! Dih-MYOOR! So modest and so mild! Demure, the bunny, soft and sweet, A shy and tucked-in child.
The frogs go BOING, the geese go HONK, But bunny stays so small. She isn't scared, she's simply calm. And then? The whole field leans...
The frogs go still, the geese go hush, To catch what "quiet" means. Demure, the bunny, soft and sweet, the quietest, coziest child.
A whisper-hop... goodnight.
(Sweet dreams, little one.)
