Irascible Grandpa!

grumble grumble grumble.

Grandpa's in his rocking chair, Calm as he can be... Till a tiny fly buzzed past his ear —

"GET OFFA ME!"

The mail came late. The toast came dark. The neighbor's dog said hi. Each little thing, KAPOW, he barks, Then sighs, and lets it fly!

IRASCIBLE! Ih-rass-uh-bul! He fires up real quick! IRASCIBLE! Ih-rass-uh-bul! Set off by every little tick!

grumble grumble.

"Who moved my hat? Who took my pen? And WHY's this jar so tight?!" Two seconds later: "...there it is." And now he's feelin' alright!

IRASCIBLE! Ih-rass-uh-bul! He fires up real quick! IRASCIBLE! Ih-rass-uh-bul! Set off by every little tick!

grumble.

Then he winked, and slipped me a candy.
