[BOARD WHEELS ROLL]

Jax rolls up to the skate park with his board beneath his arm, He tries a brand new trick and lands flat on the pavement, no alarm. Other kids would wince and cry, or maybe stomp away, Jax simply shrugs, dusts off his jeans, and says, "I'll get it, someday." He misses the rail, slides off the ramp, and tumbles down the hill, He stands right up, adjusts his cap, completely calm and still. "No big deal," he says out loud, with a breezy, easy grin, Nonchalant about the wipeout, ready to begin again.

NONCHALANT! Cool and calm about a fall, Calm about a stumble, easy after all. NONCHALANT! Easygoing, breezy, light, Shrugging off the small stuff, keeping worry out of sight. NONCHALANT! Relaxed instead of tense, A calm reaction to a bump, a scrape, or a minor accident. NONCHALANT! It helps you bounce back fast, Every little failure fades before it ever lasts.

His friend Marisol gets nervous before every quiz, She chews her pencil, taps her foot, worried what the answer is. Jax tells her, "Take it easy, one wrong answer's not the end, Stay nonchalant about the small stuff, that's advice from a good friend." She tries his calm approach the next time math class comes around, Missing one small question leaves her steady on the ground. She learns to shrug the little stumbles, keep her worry light and low, And save her energy for bigger things that matter, and that grow.

NONCHALANT! Cool and calm about a fall, Calm about a stumble, easy after all. NONCHALANT! Easygoing, breezy, light, Shrugging off the small stuff, keeping worry out of sight. NONCHALANT! But one day Jax stayed nonchalant when Marisol got teased, He shrugged it off and skated on, unbothered and unfazed. Later, guilt crept up on him, quiet, heavy, and it stung, Being nonchalant felt wrong that time, a chord too coolly strung. He found Marisol after school and told her he was sorry, "Some things deserve my full attention, not a shrug or a hurry." Nonchalant is great for falls, for small mistakes, and stress, Not for a good friend who is hurting, that deserves your best.

So Jax still shrugs off scraped-up knees and missing every trick, He stays relaxed on little things, calm, breezy, cool, and quick. But when a friend needs help, or something truly, deeply matters, He drops the nonchalant routine and every cool act shatters. Being calm about the small stuff keeps your energy and your peace, But caring hard about the big stuff never has to cease. This is the real balance that a nonchalant kid should find, Cool about the bumps, and warm and present, caring, kind.

There's a time for staying breezy, shrugging, rolling with the flow, And a time for showing up completely, letting real feelings show. Nonchalant can be a shield against the little stress and strain, It should never be a wall that blocks out someone else's pain. Practice being calm on falls, on grades, on missing shots, Practice being present too, for friends, and for the caring thoughts. The coolest kid at the skate park is not the one who cares for none, It's the one who's calm on small stuff, and present when it counts for someone.

NONCHALANT, nonchalant, Jax rolls on, easy and slow, Calm about the wipeouts, warm to friends, ready to grow. [BOARD WHEELS ROLL] Catch you at the ramp.
