Surly Troll!

One traveler said, "Good morning, troll!" The troll just grunted, "Hmf." Two more waved and smiled real big — He grumbled off the cliff... I mean, off the cuff!

Three "hellos," he rolled his eyes. Four "nice day"s, he scoffed. Five whole greetings, gruff and rude, This troll has had ENOUGH!

SURLY! Sur-lee! Rude and rough and gruff! SURLY! Sur-lee! His "hi" is just a "...hmf"!

STOMP STOMP.

Six bright smiles — "go away." Seven hugs — "no thank you." Eight kind words, he turns around, And grumbles, "what'd I do to you?"

Then a kid shared half a sandwich.
