pitter-patter (rain on the glass)
Chin upon my folded hands, I watch the raindrops race. I miss the sun, I miss the park, I miss my best friend's face.
I draw a kite upon the fog, It melts and slips away. I'm not quite sad, I'm kind of soft, Just dreaming of the day.
WISTFUL! WIST-ful! A gentle little ache. Wistful at the window, For the sunny day I'll make.
pitter-patter
I sigh a small and foggy sigh, I wish on every drop. I hum the song my grandpa sang Before the summer stopped.
It's longing wrapped in something warm, A wish that's soft and slow. Wistful means you miss a thing, But hope, too, starts to grow.
WISTFUL! WIST-ful! A gentle little ache. Wistful at the window, For the sunny day I'll make.
pitter... patter...
Look โ the clouds are thinning.
(Tomorrow, maybe sun.)
