A Silly Week of Surprises

Seven days of absurd surprises — Monday's pancake-eating dinosaur, Tuesday's dancing chairs, Wednesday's sock storm, Thursday's joke-telling vegetables, Friday's guitar-bouncing kangaroo, Saturday's bathtub boat, Sunday's walking-on-hands backwards day.

Monday came a dinosaur, knocking at my door He wanted pancakes, seventeen, maybe even more! Stomp stomp stomp went his feet, syrup everywhere A T-Rex eating breakfast—now THAT'S not fair!

Tuesday all the chairs got up and started dancing 'round They wobbled and they wiggled, didn't make a single sound They tangoed with the table, waltzed across the floor Then sat back down for dinner like nothing happened before!

Wednesday it was raining... socks! They fell down from the sky! Purple ones and polka dots were floating way up high We filled up all our buckets, we caught them by the ton A sock storm is the silliest—and possibly the most fun!

Thursday all the vegetables started telling jokes The carrots laughed so hard that the poor tomato choked! The broccoli did stand-up, the lettuce told some puns The cucumber was HILARIOUS—the funniest of the bunch!

Friday came a kangaroo who wanted to play guitar He bounced around the living room and thought he was a star He couldn't really strum it 'cause his arms were way too small So he just bounced and bounced and bounced—boing boing down the hall!

Saturday the bathtub started floating like a boat With bubbles as the ocean, rubber ducky tried to float We sailed around the bathroom, we searched for pirate treasure Then the drain said "Time for bed!"—the bathtub's favorite pleasure!

Sunday everything went backwards—we walked upon our hands We ate dessert for breakfast in this topsy-turvy land We said "hello" for "goodbye," we woke up for the night And that's the end of our strange week—what a silly sight!
