One Big Breath

[KID] STOP — and breathe first. (hey!) STOP — and breathe first.

Somebody grabbed my green dump truck — hands went tight, my cheeks went HOT. Feet wanna stomp, mouth wanna YELL... hold up — freeze right on the spot. (freeze!)

[KID] STOP — and breathe first. One slow breath — WHOOSH in, HAAA out. STOP — and breathe first. That big feeling? Let it cool down. (cooool down)

I was gonna BOOM like a shaken-up can, 'bout to blow my top — but I'm a calm little fan. One. Slow. Breath. (in... out...) Now my brain's back — and I get to CHOOSE.

[KID] STOP — and breathe first. One slow breath — WHOOSH in, HAAA out. STOP — and breathe first. My move, on purpose — I pick what I do. (boom!)

So I said "Hey — can I try?" He said YEAH! and we both went ZOOM through the sky. Big feeling came... I gave it one breath — then I chose calm, and that's the move I love best.
