Power Is Energy in a Hurry

Walking up the stairs and running up the stairs use the exact same energy — but running does it in a hurry. That hurry is power. A bouncy staircase race teaches energy over time.

I walked up the stairs, one step, then another, Nice and slow, no need to smother, Counted to sixty by the time I reached the top, Easy peasy, didn't even want to stop.

Then I raced back down and did it again, But THIS time running as fast as I've been, Same fourteen stairs, same me, same weight, But I got to the top in ten, that's great!

Same energy spent, climbing the exact same stair, Same height, same me, same amount of air, But one way was slow and one way was quick, That hurry right there, that's power's trick!

Power is energy in a hurry, Same job done, just done without worry, Fast or slow, the energy's the same amount, It's the TIME that makes power really count!

Remember my tummy, the power station inside? Power is how fast that energy gets supplied, A slow trickle of power keeps me walking along, A big fast burst gets me running, sprinting strong!

Let's do a stopwatch race, you and me, Walk it once, then run it, and see, Same total energy either way you choose, But hustle-you makes way more power, you can't lose!

Power is energy in a hurry, Same job done, just done without worry, Whether you walk it or run it in a blink, More power just means less time to think!

So when someone says "wow, that's so powerful, so strong," They mean the energy came out fast, not slow and long, Try it yourself, walk it, then race it once more, And feel your own power rushing out the door!
