The Belly Button Mystery
A silly bouncy song about belly buttons — the little scar from being attached to mom — and how every single mammal has one, even the dog
BLOOP!
I poked my tummy in the middle -- Right in the spot that goes BLOOP-BLOOP! A little hole, a little dimple -- What IS this thingy on my coop?
Belly button -- BLOOP! -- belly button! Right in the middle of the muffin! Belly button -- BLOOP! -- belly button! Everybody's got one -- nothin' to nothin'!
BLOOP!
Way back when I was teeny-tiny, Floating in my mama's cozy -- I had a little BENDY ROPE That fed me food while I was dozy!
Through the rope came everything -- Snacks and air and warm-warm-warm -- That's the rope my mama gave me -- While I grew my arms and form!
Then one day I came on out -- Hello world! Hi everybody! The doctor snipped the bendy rope -- The rope? Bye-bye! And then on me --
(a tiny scar where the rope had been!)
Belly button -- BLOOP! -- belly button! Tiny scar from the bendy rope! Belly button -- BLOOP! -- belly button! Mama-snack-line -- bye-bye-bye!
Now guess what -- HERE'S the thing -- Every mammal had that ring! The kitty cat -- look in her fur -- A tiny scar! Yes ma'am, yes sir!
The cow! The horse! The pig! The mouse! The bunny hopping round the house! Whales and dolphins WAY out far -- All of them have got a SCAR!
Belly button -- BLOOP! -- belly button! Mammals everywhere have one! Belly button -- BLOOP! -- belly button! Tiny dimple from a tiny rope!
(Want PROOF? Want PROOF?)
(Go check the dog.) (Go on -- ROLL HIM OVER -- right in the middle --)
BLOOP!
(See? Even your DOG!)
