The Yawn Mystery
A silly drowsy song about how yawns spread from person to person and how nobody knows for sure why we yawn at all
YAAAAAAAAWN
I saw my daddy do a yawn, And then my brother did one too, And then the dog -- and then the cat -- And THEN I caught one -- ah-ah-AHHHH...
YAAAAAAAAWN
Yawn, yawn, catch the yawn! Pass it on, pass it on! Yawn, yawn, catch the yawn! Where it came from -- WHO KNOWS WHO!
Some folks say it COOLS the brain -- A puff of air, a little gust! Some folks say it WAKES YOU UP -- A bigger breath because you must! Some folks say we share a signal -- "I'm sleepy too -- so are you!" But honest truth, the smartest scientists SHRUG their shoulders — raise a brow! "It's a mystery!" they laugh together — "Best mystery still living NOW!"
(Still a live one!)
Yawn, yawn, catch the yawn! Mystery! Mystery! Mystery yawn! Yawn, yawn, catch the yawn! Mystery's alive — carry on!
YAAAAAAAAWN
You can yawn from BOREDOM, You can yawn from BEING TIRED, You can yawn from LOOKING at one, You can yawn from being WIRED!
Even baby kangaroos -- Even fishes in the sea -- Even GRANDMAS in the chair -- Even THIS tune -- catching me...
YAAAAAAAAWN
(...did you yawn yet?)
Yawn, yawn, catch the yawn... The big-old-mystery-no-one-knows yawn... Yawn, yawn, catch the yawn... Off to sleep we... drift... we... drift...
yaaaawn...
